Who out there has rebuilt a rear brake for a 250R? Mine is currently not working, so I either need to rebuild it myself or take it in to be done. I saw there's a master cynlinder rebuild kit at Dennis Kirk for about $19, which isn't bad. I just don't want to get it apart and completely mess it up. Any opinions on what to do?

Are you looking to rebuild the caliper, or the master cylinder? Each one is a different job all together. The MC is a piece of cake, while the caliper can be difficult.

I'll add that I would do the MC first. I had two calipers that I thought were shot, but after I rebuilt the MC, it turns out they both worked just fine.

Well, that's the problem. I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with it. The original owner told me it was fine prior to me shipping it (and i have no reason so suspect otherwise as he's a stand-up guy). So, I'm guessing it happened when I tried to engage the parking brake in the back of the pickup on the way home. It was pretty tough to engage when I did it. Afterwards, it might have seized up and then eventually released, as I didn't notice any pad rubbing when I was riding it. However, now when I use the foot brake, I get nothing.
