Yes they will get through alot of mud, If you have the right tires... Water is nothing...

So this is for anyone how knows.....

What is a good mud tire? I need something that will go through alot of mud.
Right now I have 22x11x8 tires.. I know I need something bigger but what kind?? Please tell me... I just went through some mud (really sticky) it went about half way up on one tire and I got stuck, even with reverse! .... SO help me.

i have Nan Kang's on my 86 250x and they work very well, also timsr posted All Trax are very good mud tires and i would definatly trust his opinion.

My 250lb brother FLOATED my SX across our grandparents pond when he had it. Never even sucked water into the airbox. (3wheelers float pretty good.)

trikes are great in the mud, in my opinion, better than a quad (except the 4x4 of coarse) because they ony have the single front wheel to push through instead of the added rersistance of the 2 on the front of a 2 wheel drive quad. a nice 4 stroke trike (250sx big red, 350x) will likely impress dad pretty well.

i know this look like just water, but there's a very soft mud bottom in there and my x goes right through no prob. i have sure traks on the back but i don't think they sell them anymore.

I have a 250es that I mud all the time, or else I'd have a 200x lol. They do just as good as a comparable quad, but float much better. Depending on the mud, they may have a harder time because quads have the front tires to clear a path for the back, a trike has to make 3 new ruts. I've got HD Field Trax(about the same as Buckshot mudders) and even though they take a while sometimes, they always get through.

My 350x did great today, I hit a couple trails today I had no bussiness being on but the 350x cruised right on up. I would'nt take my 250r on it though. if you get a trike get something with some torque in a 4 stroke like a 200x or a 350x.

About an hour, I cheated though, I bought a 5hp presure washer yesterday, knocked down all the big stuff, just have to be careful not to hit the decals. Crappy thing is, some buddies want to go out riding tommrow. :?

try some of that fast wax stuff, it comes in a spray bottle, I put some on the auto x and it was way easier to clean than my x.

I think their 18 inch holeshots with 10 inch rims. I'm going to pull them and buy some Kenda Klaws.

Every once in a while!! :D :D My sx is great to play on in the mud! I have 22x11x8 Mud-Busters for the dirty work!
As for trail riding/woods riding, I go through places in woods my buddy on 300ex can't keep up because he can't turn as sharp between trees.
Don't know if 350x/250r would be a good choice for your first 3 wheeler. Start smaller.

i do alot of mudding with my 185s. i have wooly boogers on the back and it goes everywhere. well, untill you get mud over the tires then your f*cked. my 200e has turf busters and gets stuck very easily in mud. im thinking about getting blackwaters or spider tracks if i can. :)

You had Blackwaters on a 200s and survived? They beat to death most seasoned riders on a suspension model! Thats like a bigtime joke amongst my riding friends, about toturing war criminals by putting Blackwaters on a 200s and forcing them to ride it while listening to Rap.

Blackwaters are so hard that you can run them without air, and you wont notice.

nothing is better than a 250sx with dirt devils, i go mudd riding everyday, i swear, there are some trails down the rode. My freinds have 4 wheelers, 2x4's and they cant keep up period. Dirt devils arent to aggresive so it wont hurt to ride on the rode, which i do, and they've stood their ground in anything, infact I pull them out more. I need to get some pics tho  thats just my 2 cents

I've got just a little 185 s and that thing plows through mud like you wouldnt believe. We were goin through the swamp in my woods and i was out-mudding my friend on a 2002 Honda Recon. The Water was above the seat. It'll be no prblem trail riding for ya either. We call my woods The Training Grounds because if you can ride fast there, and i keep up with my friends Yamaha 250f. They're great for trail riding, just be careful cornering!!!!!

if the air breather is under the seat how can the water be above the seat and the 3 wheeler still workin?

Here are some mudding pics with my 110. I got kenda mud puppys on them. I don't recomend them in the front, the tires are to hard.

Sweet! An ellusive Blue 110! :-D

But tell me this, how do you ride with the handlebars mounted like that? I'd have those mount threads stripped in NO TIME!

If the air box and all it's components are properly sealed, riding in seat-deep water isn't a problem. The air is actually picked up from just behind the head-tube at the front end of the gas tank and travels down through the frame to the air box.

One good thing about lite trikes (like a 110): If you do get stuck, its not a pain in the arse to get unstuck!

Yeah my Big Reds will usually go though more mud than any 2wd Monster quad... Mudding Is Probably the funnest thing I do with them. :D

Yea it's pretty easy to get unstuck it's also easy to get it stuck. It just sucks when your engine dies in the mud and it doesn't want to start.

My cousin had it for a while and he wrecked it pretty good. So thats why it doesn't have the orignal fender on the front. That is also why I got the head light tied down somewhat. That is also why the handle bars look like that.
