I cant decide if I should sell the SX and get a 85 or up big red. I use it to get rocks (to make a fireplace so they arent big) and was thinking the low range would be nice... On the other hand the SX 86' is an absolute blast to ride I like it a lot more than the 84 BR i had.

Hmmm.

Was thinking the 85 and up maybe a lot better than my old one because of larger motor and some suspension. But the SX does kick ass.

WHich would you choose for light work and fun riding?

If it's just light work and mostly fun riding I'd stick with the SX. More sporty and better suspension. I'm sure the Big Red is fun too, but most people seem to love the SX for a work and play mix.

^^^Yeah, and the gearing is not that different. If you were referring to dual range, the 85 Red's and up don't have it.

keep tat SX, bro. thats a good looking bike. The BR is not that much different. Don't bother turning loose of something you know for something you don't know.

I have a 85 BR and its a great bike, but I play more than work. If you werent so far away I'd say we could trade for a while ...

The 200 BigRed has the hi/lo lever on the tranny. The 250 BigRed has a 'superlow' first gear and reverse selected from the shifter. No idea how it compares with the 200 as I've not had any use of one but I have used a Yamaha moto4 quad with the reverse lever on the sidecase and it's a P.I.T.A!, mostly because the lever gets unbearably hot after long running. Apart from that, I think it's just cooler to be able to select everything from the bars. Many times i've backed away from an obstacle ('cos I's chicken!) and had to wait for my mate to struggle with the lever on the Moto4 to find reverse without burning his hand. I'm guessing the Honda hi/lo/r layout could well be quite different and better designed but that's just my opinion. There's also a lot to be said for 'better the devil you know'...

Yeah, keep your SX, I've ridden the 2nd gen Big Red, it's bigger & heavier, not as nimble as the SX is. They're great trikes, but it sounds to me like you'll be happier sticking with your SX. BTW, how's about some more shots of that SX of yours?

I'll get a few more...... I need to get some mud lites if I keep it for better traction in the snow.
