I'm finally doin it. Im doing a complete redo of my tecate. I've taken every piece of aluminum and brushed all of the paint off until it shines. I really don't want to paint it because i love the polished look. Is there anything that i can do to keep it shining and stop it from tarnishing.????

a little help?????????????????????

Have it clear anodized. It's the only solution to a good long term finish.

how is that done??? don't you have to have a shop do that for you? or is it something i can do in my shop at home?

It has to be done in a shop. Check the yellow pages, or inquire at a chroming shop.

polished parts have TONS of upkeep.. the clear anodizing is good, but you better be happy with the finish before you get it done.. once its done, its virtually impossible to get anything done to it.. polishing wise.. good luck on it.. post pictures when your done

It's been a year since we polished the 350x parts. Theres no dulling yet. I'm thinking a highly polished finished stays that was better than partily polished ?
