ok so i have a 1984 ATC 200X. if all goes as planned, which im assuming will, i will have a DG exhaust, K&N air filter, Wiseco 10.25:1 piston, R&D valve springs, XR200 carb and intake manifold, ebay performance cam (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/83-85-ATC200X-Camshaft-Hi-Performance-Cam-ATC-200X_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43977QQihZ016QQite mZ260187816642QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V), and a frame up resto.
in september my bike sucked a valve, and killed the head and piston and it has been down ever since.
so my question is: Do you think i should rebuild the crankshaft (new vesrah rod, bearing, sprocket)? i kind of want to, but from what i have seen it costs $200+ to do it with the work and all. Also the rod will have more stress from the valve being sucked, performance stuff, and being 23+ years old, so what do you guys think I should do? thanks.
