1979-80 IT 400 in a tri-z?

will it switch out? got a guy over here that has one and it doe's not look that bad...he said the motor has 46 hp and it has about 2262 miles on it, is that bad or good? $400 takes it. has compression tore one of the guys boots apart, and has great spark. so I would like to here feed back, that would be great.

first thing.. does the exhaust come out of the cylinder strait or off to the side?

it looks like it goes to the right and hooks back to the right around the front tube...exaust ends up on the left side...

there like the 465, 490 before 84 the exhaust comes out at a angle on the jug.. you will have to rebuilding the front frame to allow to fit a pipe on the Z frame.

so thats a no go then, o-well I will have to for a 84 and up yz-it 490...

425 it was a strong runner, has the center mount exaust too...
