Can anyone tell me how i can tell if my thermostat is bad and what will happen if it is. Thanks.

sticking shut is BAD! sticking Open is good.. take the case apart and take it out.. and leave it out ,,your light will still work the same

you dont needed it ..........if you want to keep it just boil it in some water it should open at 145 to 152 degrees

Raffa, doesnt ronnie (Yamahondaman) make the thermostat deletes? It acts as a connection for all your coolant lines plus a inline cooler

When I talked to Ronnie about my Bling Kit he was outta them. I think he still is.

That will probably be when i go the money to buy an 86 250r to use as my rider and pimp out the Z:) Oh ya, sorry for no new pics, workin on that , gotta get my camera back from my bro.

First thanks for the advise, if i'm understanding you right then the whole thing is you can see is just the case and inside will be i guess the actual thermostat that i should just take out and put the cases back together and remount?

yep there's two allen head screws that hold that case together..pull it apart,taket it out, clean if needed and grease the O ring when you put it back together.

Gave it a try but that case is stuck on there so bad i dont know if i can get it off without breaking it. Any suggestions, maybe youve experienced this problem?

start working it by spining it ..once you get it to move that way it should pull out
