84 250 r

hey guys I have found an 84 250r. the guy wants 450 for it. the frame is blue, tank is white and red fenders. Is this correct? the swing arm has westcoast on it is this aftermarket?the frame has no breaks in it. has seat, gas tank and fenders on it. He has top end off of it for rebuild, the bottom end it tight. needs cleaned up. The piston that is in it has something like 00.12 on the top of it. How many times has it been bored? did not have my camera with me so no pics. does it sound like a good deal? thanks Joe

at 450 bucks i honestly wouldn't care too much about the condition. lol. but then i'm desperate for one out here.

That sounds like a good deal to me, if the plastics are in good shape. That Westcoast swinger is an aftermarket swingarm, and from what I've read on here, a very desireable one. I don't think the frame is supposed to be blue, I beleive it's usually red, but I could be wrong.

450 sounds like a good deal, as long as it's pretty solid, doesn't need things left and right.

This is a stock 84 R here ......... (canadian one though I think, since it has reflectors on it)

.12 or .120 sound like a 3mm over piston which I'd say is very near the limit. Tank and frame should be red but who cares!!

That swingarm alone is almost worth that price so.........
