Battery type for an 85 250sx?? thanks.

No manual yet for this bike, just bought one today on EBay today. Tomorrow I'd like to pick up a battery to test the starter and lights. Anyone know the correct size? thanks.

yea the 12 model... I just got one from Walmart, but anyway dont get the 9 model..YTX12-BS is the one you want - or bike batts says you can use any of these

Hey bud, be careful which battery you buy. If it's the right one, it will run about 50$. There are lots that will work but they aren't the right battery for the SX with the lights and electric start.

I bought a 12v cheapo one time and it wouldn't last.

I get mine at Walmart.....Autozone had one also.

Way ahead of you Dirtcrasher........ thats exactly where I went, Wally-Mart. I've got the battery on the charger right now. Can't wait to see what works and doesn't work on this beast. So far this trike looks like it was ridden hard and put away even harder. But hey...... for 200 bucks.......????
