I've opted for welding fabbed solid steel spacers to my Zee hubs - question is how wide? My Zee will be street based so hopefully no hard knocks looming in the future, i'm thinking +3" each side  Has anyone gone wider or do you think 3" both sides is too much? cheers Dee

+3 is pretty much the most you will ever find commercially, so I'd be leary of going any more. Even at that, you will be risking wearing out the hub/axle splines much quicker. If you feel you need even more width, you might look around for an extended axle to compliment the spacers and/or extreme offset wheels. Just make sure you monitor the bearings and splines closely for premature wear due to all the extra width. I'd hate to hear that something failed or came apart on you while boogying down the street at speed.

Do tri-z's interchange with banshees? If so I would get an extended banshee axle.... I would avoid wheel spacers at all costs... especially for highway use...

On my dads and my 86 ATC250Rs we both run the 3" cast aluminum knock out the stud run long bolts wheel spacers and they have held up really well. My dads bike has been abused and jumped for over ten years and we did the first set of axle bearings 2 years ago.
