I think we was going to come back later and post some information to go with the pictures.
Thanks billy for posting pictures.
This is the 86 T3 I picked up in PA, I met up w/ DOGGER for the trip. Rite now it is a complete Trike. A complete NEW RickeyStator Ignition showed up late this afternoon. I pick up a newly rebuilt shock tomarrow, and install new gaskets. I plan to have it running on Sat, and shake it down on Sun/Mon. It will have my spare(broken) fenders, it will look like sh_t, but go great.
Has anyone ever heard of KOUP? I know nothing about this company. The top end has a steel sleeve and is deffinately ported.
THANKS
MIK6 / Mike
Alright Mike!
I like the green frame. I've never heard of Koup. I'll have to research some of my old mags and see If I can find anything. I haven't even looked in one of my old mags in months seems like anyway.
What CC is the "Big Bore"?
Never mind, I just adjusted my monitor and was able to read 287 cc.

Hey, how long did it take to get your new stator from California? I may need one, if the local shop can't rewind my T4 stator for a better price, and I was wondering if it would be here in time for me to get it back together for Dirt Week in June.
Hagen. That is the T3 for you to ride. I DON'T want you on no HONDA. I will have it running tomarrow and decide if its good enuff to bring to HASPIN. If it will not run rite I will throw some of its parts onto HOLICS red 85 for you.

Hey MIK6,
thanks again for the offer.I hope the ´86 T3 will run,
only saw a ´85 T3 in person once before and decided that this bike
would be a little small for me ;)
BTW did you get my mail about the parts ?

So far, The T3 is winning!!! And it does not want to run :(
Today I reset the timing, swapped carbs, CDIs, coils and run switches. I get alittle back fire only when I pull it around the yard. It has a NEW RickeyStator complete ignition timed to the way they told me too, a beautiful spark on the new plug. I took the carb off my running 87 T3, it is a perfact runnig carb, I rode the 87 before I removed it. The reeds, cage, and intake came off my 87 when I switched to V-Force so I know thats all good. The only thing I do not have is a compression tester, but when I pull the plug and cover the hole w/ my thumb it will blow my thumb off the hole. I get exhaust out of the pipe, I know its not plugged. I checked the powervalves, they are working rite.
If I can't get it running by monday, its not going w/ me to HASPIN! I will throw the shock on HOLICs 85 , and bring the ignition as a spare. If I cant get it going soon I'll throw a match on it
ANY IDEAS WILL HELP

Tell me about it!
MIK6 Sounds like you're having bad luck there, thats one stubbern T3!
Have you tried a new spark plug? how about fresh fuel?
Nat
THANKS for the replys. Lets keep the ideas coming.
Yes Basket, I pulled the pipe, the piston looks good. I also pulled the intake and looked at it from that side, w/ it looking good there to. I haven't pulled the head off yet.
FullBore, Fresh fuel(same I am running in the 87 at the moment) and 2 different brand new plugs.

:D J/K Really, I am. from what it sounds like, if ya got spark, gas, air and nothin is locked, blocked or broken....gotta be timing. It is backfirin so I would say timing. Good luck. I will probably be going thru the EXACT same thing in a week or two with my T4. Hope you figure out what is the prob, so if I run into the same thing, I can get it fixed with less headache.

hi
is your fuel pipe routed right? sometimes they get kinked and won`t let fuel through, take out your plug and pour a small amount of fuel in, if it starts then its starved of fuel, just a suggestion, good luck.
The 86 won. It will not be at Haspin. I pulled the top end and found abroken connecting rod. It was not broke all the way across, it was cracked where the wristpin goes. When I put a screwdriver in the
plug hole it felt fine thru the travel, but as I tried to bump start it I could hear some "klicking". Today is wed, I head to Holics early to go thru his 85 T5. Hagen you still got my 87 to ride!!
SEE YOU AT HASPIN
