I've got myself an atc70 today and already i've got problems, it starts fine and rides ok but when i'm at full throttle it misses like mad if I back the throttle of a tiny little bit it runs fine, it wasn't doing this when i first started riding and it did clear itself at one point but it came back. i'm going to clean the carb tomorrow but i just wanted to tell you all about it incase you think its something else. thanks.

I would go the clean carb way first. One thing I don't know, but someone else might, is if they were fitted with a rev limiter.
The easy way of course is don't go flat out!

Sounds like gunk in your carb - take it off - clean it like it depended on your life using compressed air and carb cleaner - re-assemble - re-install - check back in with us.

No rev limiter.

Sounds like time to set the points gap.

Might be crap in your main jet, or like everyone else said, it's the points.

I would start with the easy first then go from there.I would replace the spark plug. This is always a good idea anyway when you get a new machine. Then if still the same check plug lead, points etc.Good luck:beer
