I took the tecate out into the sun today. These pics dont do it justice , cheap camera. This thing gleams like green jello.
I just got it powdered a silver metallic with a powdered clear and wanted to see what it looked like in the sun. Its about 90% complete with just a few odds and ends like chain, sprockets and such. I retrofitted some parts like a lakota toolbox, kdx light switch and 85 tecate prm skid plates.
This one is my pride and joy..... The R is my daily ripper..

this a 98 dollar camera cause i lose them too often. :D It is a long and expensive restore. Every piece of plastic is new or near new. The tank was purchased from Nevada with some other expensive goodies like the rad overflow bottle, a very rare - perfect condition Bills pipe and oem shrouds.
This is actually just mocked up right now. Radiators and engine mounts aren't even on there yet.
Thanks for comments.

The tank is not brand new. It is an original from an 87. Its at about 95% and the best used example i have ever seen. As long as i own it, it will never have gas in it again.
I just bought the last cosmetic piece - a perfect original seat cause mine has some stains in it.
And yes deepa was right - i had to lay out the rules when viewing and sitting on my show trikes. And when kicked over - rears come off.
If parts werent so scarce I would ride it. I have a spare set of plastics just to ride it - including a tank and shrouds and i probably still won't - thats what the 250R is for.
I wanted this bike since i was 13. Its more of a "grab a 6 pack and relive the memories" trike now - just the way i want it.
