Well i found out why my trimoto lost its power. I took the cylinder off and pulled out the piston and checked the rings. The one side of the ring is thick, then slowly they get thinner to the other side. I got some new rings ordered and should be in this week. I also found out it has a wiseco piston in it and was bored .5" over. The cylinder looks to be in good shape and so does the piston. Is this normal wear for rings? I dont know how long they've been in there. I honed the cylinder and can't wait to see if theres a difference. Also, i was thinking of picking up some boyseen reeds fibre glass ones. Do these make a noticable difference?
Thanks, Jake.

You need to do some more extensive measuring and checking before you go just buying new rings and slapping it back together. Youll have the same problem after a few hours of ridding. If your capable, measure the cylinder for out-of round (unequal measurements tangent to each), measure for taper (unequal measurements on top and bottom of sleeve). That bore has to be spot on. Then you need to measure your piston for these same things, (out of round alot more likely than taper on a piston). The wear you describe indicates more wear than "honing and rings" will take care of. Also, you mean .05 rather than .5" right? (typo?)

ya i ment .05. The only noticeable wear is on the old rings, piston and cylinder look good, but ill measure them with a vernier again more carefully.
thanks, Jake.
