so i finaly got a 250r. it's rough but it runs good. The rear fenders not there. The seat is cracked. the shifter spindles are non-existant and the pipe is broken off about 6 inchs from the motor and has metal and big ubolts mixed with muffer patch on it. but it still leaks. Also the silencer has a hole in it and was clogged before i cleaned it. The shocks i think are blown but kinda still work. the back one you can push down like 6 inchs and hold it, and the front ones.. well mud is coming out of the right shock. the swingarm bearings are gone and it had a cut 200es front fender on it and a car headlight that fit right into the orignal casing. It has a brand new front tire on it and kobbies on the back. does anyone have any parts? ( i would like brakes now and then) i only have one crappy pic but i'll get more tomorrow.

Sounds like you got a lot of work ahead of you, don't we all though at one time or another with these trikes :beer

Congrats ! Piece by peice, one step at a time, you'll have it looking good in due time.

I have a 84 stock exhaust (pipe & muffler), I think it's in real nice condition, and quite sure it would bolt right on the 83 but that you would have to be a 100% sure before I'd sell it to you.

I'll check it out tomorrow, post a pic or two for you of it.

Can't say a price till I check it out. Interested at all if price sounds OK ?

The rear shock you should be able to get rebuilt .........

yes as long as the shipping isn't too bad

I could have my wife check at her work, as long as canada is not a problem for me to ship.

The axle bearings and swingarm pivot bearings you can get here ......

Pretty rough but its fixable im sure. I would love to have something like that to fix up instead of fixing my main ride! And the stuff coming out of the front forks is probably old fork oil. If theres mud in there you should probably take it apart, clean it and replace any worn parts before the forks get too worn out.

well Huffa i never got to measuring the skid plate mounts yet. Also i looked it up and a 84 pipe will fit on a 83. Also started taking it apart and the peice that the brake rotor bolt's on to, well the spindles are worn out so it spins around... i took more pics today of it.
