dennis kirk, dura blue, ebay, and custom made, (machine shop) I dont really care for spacers with bolts (kinda seems like a weak link) but I had some 1 inch spacers made up for my 250r hubs awile back (that are now on my 350x) that a local machine shop did for less then half the price of new spacers

you can see that I welded the spacers to my hub for added strenght even if you didnt weld them I think this might be something for you to look into

i remember dennise kirk had some studs that bolted on to your studs then you used your nuts to hold the wheel on.

What year 250R?

I bought a set of Westcoast extended hubs for a '85 - '86 that was going to get used on a 500cc project but desided not to use the '85 rear end.

I think they're stainless steel. They need a stud or 2. They look like they're in good condition.

I paid $75 bucks for them, if you want 'em you can have them for what I paid.

I have some off my 84 that were mated to different wheels so the may work ?

I will post a pic of them and measurement of them.

Been a while since I looked at them but think they are 2" per side jobs.

Wait a minute, mine are hubs with built in spacers, part of the hub, that's a better set up that just spacers.

I have 5" on my R's and I haven't had a single issue. They were $25.00 a set off
e-bay. I'm 200# and love to ride hard. That's 5 inches my friend not 1, 2 or 3.
Get em' you'll love them. That said, I don't think they will match an extended axle. But they will do the job if you are on a budget.

the problem i see is not with them breaking, but causing extra stress on the axle. (more length, more leverage). I wouldnt recommend them if your going to be doing alot of jumping, but otherwise you should be fine.

Wow BB, those are nasty!!

I made 1" ones out of aluminum. It was round and the stock hub bolted to it. Then the spacer itself had 4 studs that layed out inbetween the stock hub mounting if you get the picture. Very strong and light if you can make up your own stuff.

The ones BB posted look sweeet!
