were can i get factory rear plastics? the yami dealer looked at me likei had 3 heads what i asked for black rear plastics for a 85 z lol and i dont want to pay the 250 for maire......

Well, looks like the counter jockey is ignorant. Oem's are still availiable through your dealer. Get back in there and tell him to order it up. My dealers always willing to check out things for me. Great customer service is really nice to have, but becoming a thing of the past.

All 3 colors should be still available from yamaha. Rear oems should be under 100 plus shipping. If you can get your dealer to actually look at their parts fische - they should be available and will save you the shipping cost.

my cycles has pretty good prices - check them out. I ordered my black rears from a placein kinderhook NY - i think its called xtreme powersports - something like that.

Front - you will need to buy maier

go to www.bdawgsplastics.com they carry Maiers but they are super super cheap. Way cheaper then direct from maier and theres no shipping fee over $100.

I work at a Yamaha dealership. THEY ARE AVAILIBLE. I just ordered a set for my Z last week. Got here tuesday at the dealership. Go to your dealer and order. However if you are talking OEM front fenders. They are not avail.

This is interesting....... I inquired while working @ Smokey Point Cycle Barn in Arlington, Wa. The shop phone number there is 360 530-7800....... The part number for 85' rear fenders come up DISCONTINUED...... interesting
