How would i go about adjusting the cam chain tension on my 85 treefittyX?

So pretty much... take it appart and see if its all gummed and clean it up. Then reasemble it and reinstall it. But what i cant really read is how to make any primary adjustments to it.

Alright that doesn't sound too hard. I have a cam chain slap and I'm thinking thats about the only thing it could be besides the chain itself or the valves being out of adjustment.

Yeah thats what i figured. It looks like a set of 90 degree feeler gauges would be nice to have to check in frame valve lash.

Yep, I just bend them myself to a little less than 90 degrees.

Most of the old motors desperately need a new timing chain and tensioner guide. It quiets them down quite a bit....

Valve lash for intake and exhaust are both .003 inches correct?
