I went down to Sarasota, FL yesterday to get this one from a fellow board member. Its an '85 and is in nice shape for the year. I am the 3rd owner. The engine ran a little choppy, but sykolincoln and myself found out a stuck open slide in the carb and the decompression lever held open was the cause. It runs great now and is harder to start.
Plans are to get black plastics and paint on the fuel tank black. :w00t:
Thanks to Allen for pirating parts from his 350x to troubleshoot this one! :beer

after figuring out all the problems that thing runs great! like a sowin machine, real tight fealing, took us a while to diagnose but we got it, you little guys who have 350x's need to help jason with a few pointers on starting this thing, I can start it without a single problem, but it wears his little azz out!

Dammit!

kool - I like your new bike.
you will get used to starting it after a few rides. you almost have to "know" the X to start it
you can move the kicker over until you feel that it is on the compression stroke and then kick it. that works well.

Havent had that happen yet, but I do have a blood blister on my hand, and sore inner knees. I woke up this morning feeling like I was repeatedly pushed down a flight of stairs all day yesterday. What did I do? Go right back to the X and play with it. I found both headlight sockets are getting power, and one bulb works which wasnt making contact before. Rear light works too. Also, I found that 6th gear topped out=about 13degrees windchill.
