never done before, but if your just looking to clean it up, maybe 5 or 10 thousandths.
as far as how much will make it not runnable on pump gas, well, there is no way to tell for sure without experimentation. 5 or 10 thou will clean it up nicely though i think.
any other takers?

5 or 10 thousands?? lol , might want to know what your talking about before you post, 10 thousands is a hell of a difference from 5 thousands.... first do a deck height of the piston and cylinder then deck the head and find out what those measurements are, once that is done there is a formula to find out the cc of your dome, and from there you can take and clean up the head both efficently and for max power, 21cc is a great pump gas dome.

i work in a machine shop doodlebug........i dont do engine work, mostly dies and plates.
if the surface is gouged, or just chewed up, a clean up will require about that.
if its not gouged and chewed, then it takes less, but by how he talked about it, its boogered up fairly well.
if the head is warped, well, it could take more, depending on warpage, etc. etc.
and if hes running a domed piston, it will change the compression on the X cc dome.
remember, gaskets are usually 20 or 30 thou, depending on material, manufacturer etc. etc.

I would first measure the dome volume before doing any cutting.... then cut the deck to whatever is necessary to clean it up... Then cut the deck further or recess the squish band until you have a .040 squish clearance... Then bring the chamber back out to your desired volume... What are you using to cut the head?

Ill Use A Fly Cutter In The Mill At Work. I Was Just Wondering If Any One Had A Measurement That They New Was Safe. 5 To 10 Will Pretty Much Do It For Me.i Also Work In A Machineshop So Doing This Will Not Be A Problem Ill Start Slow And Olny Take What I Need To Get The Job Done Ill Post.results In A Few Days

thats all that has to be done for a cleanup....just until its done......
then go from there for a performance stance, if desired.

Check the clearance just be sure its not too tight and run it.... You can double up on base gaskets if need be..
