Cr125 forks, (also cr250)from 90-96 are 43mm, The same size as the forks I want to use now.

1993 – Showa 43 mm fork tubes
1994 – KYB 43 mm fork tubes
1995 - KYB 43 mm fork tubes
1996 – KYB 43 mm fork tubes-37 1/16 long

and I'm assuming 90-93 is showa forks.

The only bad thing is, I think it's leading axle (where it's in front) vs the forks i want to use are trailing like stock 250r. also they dont screw in the one side.

88 cr125 had 43mm forks but where conventional.

90 yz250 forks are 41mm
95 yz250 43mm and 36 7/8 long.
96 ATK 250LQ 40mm, 37 long
93 kx125 43mm and 37 3/16 long

9.8in travel is what a stock 250r had, so I'll be looking for at least that much too. Also does anyone know the length of stock 250r forks?

I might be mistaken on my size and understand of the forks..I think on usd forks the measurement is tooken on the bottom fork not the top. Yeap it is...I couldn't tell from pics. Well the info is still good..now I just have to decide to use these forks and spend the 200 dollars to make them work, or sell them for about that, and either get stock R forks, or start a USD conversion. Thoughts? comments?

If you wanna keep shock travel the same take a look at the 80's and 100's forks. somthing from a CR80 or KX80,100 would have 10" of travel.

Allright thanks I'll post up the info as soon as I find it.

I might just chop off the ends on whatever forks I want to use, and weld them to a R's. My step-dad tig's but at his work I don't think they do alunium or esle he'd do it for me. Hmm I'll ask and find out.

cr80/85 forks are 48mm in the trees..still would need to chop the ends off, or make new triple trees

the new cr125 forks have 12 inches of travel (300mm exact)
98's 12.4 inches

I don't know what earlier forks where, still looking. I'm trying to get as much info together as i can. The more I know the better decisions i can make.

It doesn't matter what kind of inverts you run, unless they are off of a 65 they arent gonna fit in the stock trees.

Yeah i understand that now lol.. Any one think it'd be worth the money to use these forks? (I mean i like them becuase they are more updated and look alot better) but i might just sell them and do usd forks in the spring/summer.

Yeah I decide..I'm just going to sell them and get stock forks for now, I still got some more stuff to sell, I'll just put it towards getting my X running and then maybe a engine, and do the USD next summer, this way I can do what I want, and I'll have awhile to plan it out, and find someone to weld it up for me!
