This is my winter project. Bought it for $150. The guy was riding it like this. I think it has a 200x swinger on it, and it's really short. It had a old sectional pipe on it, and believe it or not those side cases were polished under all the dirt/oil. Check out the custom swingarm spacer(looks like a peice of radiator hose, and a hose clamp), and the custom sprocket  . The main things I'm worried about is where they bent the right side of the frame where the swingarm mounts, and the left case has been poorly repaired arround the shifter. I hope the case can be fixed. I know some of you guys do awesome work on cases, and if you think you can fix it let me know.

you have to laugh at some people's stupidity..........its flippin hilarious.
if it runs strong, for 150, you cant beat with a stick.

the frame bend shouldnt be a problem. just do some self straightening, and weld in a support to keep it steady.

I'm not too worried about the frame. I don't think I'll have too much trouble fixing it.

Where can I buy the manuel for these at? I know I'm going to need one when I pull the motor apart to fix the case.

Thats a project all right! Nice find...you can start here by downloading the shop manual, helped me out and still using it restoring my 86 250R.

If you want an official copy of one, here's one...

Also, I'm pretty sure I've seen a link on here with someone you can buy on ebay and then DL the manual on your computer. It's much cheaper, but I couldn't seem to find it on ebay at the moment.

It's two sprockets welded together. I don't know why they did it.

Holy REDNECK 250R batman... Might be a money pit to get nice but tons of great parts on there. It's truly a shame what some people do just to go riding....

Thats someone who doesn't respect three wheelers in the least.

Man I wanna kill people that ruin machinery like that! Let me guess, he also prolly told you how fast it is and that it beats all his friends quads? It just seems like every machine I've bought in that condition, the owner always says that. I call it Millenium Falcon Syndrome.

i callit lack of money and spare parts and a desperation to ride. helli put ablaster motor in a klt110 and i wrecked a blaster and cut the front end off and welded a 200x frame par tonto it and turne dit into a 3wheeler been there done that

Maybe it's me, (probably is) but I don't think it's THAT bad. I mean, he could have done something really bad, like convert it to a quad. It's not like it was intentionally butchered, just patched together to keep running, which is better than the scrapyard. I'm guilty of ghetto rigging stuff to get riding, it's either that or sitting at home watching TV. If bought that thing I'd get the essentials in working order then ride it the way it is, you would really get some looks with that beast. :naughty:

$150 and it runs. You cant beat that price.

It could be worse. It could have been sitting in a field rotting away and forgotten about. Instead, someone was enjoying it the way it was meant to. Props to the P.O. for doing what he had to do to ride. :TrikesOwn

Yeah im guilty of rigging stuff too. but nothing as extreme as welding huge sprockets on. Worst thing was making a junk spacer for the bearings and ended up ruining the bearings. Thats all I cant think of now, but for 150 thats not bad at all. All the rigging isnt really that bad.

nice deal for $150....i got a runner with a cracked case and a parts bike for $250 awhile back....that swinger looks like a 350x swinger to me...and im willing to bet the extra sproket was used as a spacer to line the sprokets up

it isnt all too bad. hell he rode it and by the looks of it he rode it like it was stolen. i give him props for "fixing" it and keeping it rolling. allot of people (other than us trikers) would just ditch it if it broke in anyway.

i had a buddy that had a 86 tri-z and it ran perfect. he crashed it into a tree and broke the front fender, rear fender, and bent the rear axle. so he took it to the scrap yard and gave it to them. (sadly it got crushed for scrap) i wish i would have known this i woulda bought it off him. but anyway at least that R didnt end up like my buds z did.
