No Fire 84 250R

A friend of mine has an 84 R and it will not fire, I have'nt seen it yet but he is supposed to bring it by tonite and i have never worked on a 84R just 85 86. He said he bought a new coil but still no fire, Im just trying to help this guy so any help would be appreciated, what would be the most probable grimlin.

Simple connections 90% of the time that's what it is with electrical.

check for spark, if none then chances are is there is a bad or loose connection in wiring harness. Or it could be the stator. when it comes to electrical, 85's are about the same as 84's. make sure all the plugs in the wiring harness are plug in where they are suppose too.

Thanks for the replies, I new it had to be in the wireing some where. I was just wondering if there was any particular part of the wireing known to go bad on an 84R
