Ya I need a clutch for my 350 its the original one and it needs to be changed. Anyone knows of the best brands to buy. Is it hard to change? Any pointers?

Go Oem, better quality, and its lasted 20 years. I see people get the ebc and barnette and only last 2 or 3 years Stick with stock.

OEM.

I was one that went aftermarket after my original clutch lasted 20 years. I replaced it as preventive maintenance. I'll be going back to OEM.

Once i get my shee going good again, and Cr500ex good im going back to the nitrous on the X. Im going to set it up diffrent from what i had it.

How much does a stock clutch usally go for? And for s*** and giggles how much does that nos kit cost

Not shure about the stock clutches im thinkin just the plates are like $40-$60. For a n itrous kit, from $400-$700 I made mine myself with the little i know about some things.

If you use OEM, below is a rough outline of what all might need replaced. If the basket is worn badly the price can up pretty quick ($240 for the basket and $45 for the pressure plate) on the total job. Hopefully you don't need either of those.

I bought only fibers, springs, and a gasket when doing mine. The metal plates can be reused if money is tight and the clutch wasn't slipping and "blued" the plates.

Again, shoot me an email and I can send an electronic copy of the clutch replacement section of the service manual if needed.


OEM fibers are $12 each. You need 6. $72
OEM metals are $10 each. you need 5. $50
OEM springs are $3.18 each. you need 4. $13
OEM sidecover gasket $14. you need 1. $14
Oil $2 each. you need 1.5 $4

Total $153
