does any one know how to get the front tire any farther out in front for a trike ridden on fairly smooth surfaces (no jumping or anything like that) only thing i can think of is a precision bend in the upper forks above shocks or a frame mod

If your lower axle clamp is offset you may be able to spin it towards the front "leading axle" if it is a "trailing axle" now.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather cut the neck on the frame and reweld it with a couple more degrees of rake than to bend the forks. The repositioned neck would have a straight line from the bars to forks, unlike if you were to bend the lower half of the fork below the headset which would change the original alignment.

I don't see why the desire for this is unless a trike seems "tippy" or unstable to you now.

There was a kit made that moved the axle front, I just saw this auction earlier, it will give you an idea how they worked.

not unstable just thinking out loud so to speak trying to thank of something different that few or noone has done like turning a hard tail into a streetlike trike with slitely increased rake and lower pro tire also thinking of 200x mudder w/extra tall wheels just ideas and looking for others opinions ( most modded trikes ive seen are keeping the standard design in tact just useing higher performing parts) thats all

my 84 200s triple tree looks like it is angled more i did some measureing it seems about the same length but about 1.5 to 2 inches narrower does anyone know if this will fit my 85 200m which i think the frame is longer right? also i looked at the forks and they are offset to the rear but don't know if they can be turned could this cause a problem with brake set up?

200x triples bolt up. What do you guys mean by street based? street legal? And antoher thing isn't moving the rake forward going to affect the stability at high speeds?

not looking for street legal with mine, my idea is just something a bit lower to the ground with lower pofile tires something to go around the block on and also maybe on the ice when cold enough the ideas are still new and coming to me i havent seen anyone do this idea with a hard tail thats why im interested in it...85 200m with built engine different front suspension most all other hardtails have floaty tires and not to much different with them. i'm not realy looking to go screaming across any terrain just trying to be creative and get oppinions and others input before i start twisting wrenchs.

I had a 200s, and I personally like it about the same as my x, I could slide it around so much easier, and a bad thing it hurt my butt...but if i sat up a inch or two off the seat it was ok and didn't hit me.

I would like to get another s, and put a cr125 motor into it. that would be crazy.
