Grim Reaper 350X released [Archive]

I've been working on this for the last month, but just buying new plastics, odds and ends, and some custom graphics. I'm heading out in the morning for my first test ride. I purchased this, but couldn't stand the look, and have spent the time changing it before I ride it.......................WISH ME LUCK!

In the future, I'll build a motor, polish and chrome parts, and do the frame in a black color (black chrome?). For now, it's just something to ride while other projects begin.

hey nice bikes! I like the Z alot, I like the head light it looks different from the rest I've seen . That X is REALLY clean! I like the pipe alot and the graphics look pretty cool too

Here's what I started with. Anyone interested in some blue fenders? They are painted on the outside, but underneath they are actually the same color. Not sure if it was a special run by Maier or what. If nobody wants them, they go to the dumpster!

I requested that when I purchased it from HiFlite. I've heard that CosmicQuads will do the same.

First ride not what I expected!:crazy: The front end needs rebuilt BAD. Forks are weak, seems to wobble, and i hope that's the forks and not the axle. Well, if I'm going to tear apart the front end.....................................MIGHT AS WELL POLISH SOME STUFF!:w00t:

I just noticed a small detail. The tank, under the honda wing decal/paint, looks a lot like it says "HONOR" and not "HONDA".

I personally like it like that, I think it looks awesome!

Nice X (it's been said already)!

Hindee used the same font for the Honda decal as the Grim Reaper decals, like I requested. I've not thought it looked like Honor, but maybe the angle of the pics threw you off? I like it like this, with the different font, just to make it different!

I was led to a parts machine a few weeks back, so it's time to start a rebuild/buildup I suppose.

The decals on the tank are holding up pretty good, and no bubbles yet. I've got a ticking noise in the motor that I'll try to resolve this weekend, or take the motor out of the parts machine and swap them out for now. I tried adjusting the valves, but no luck. I was wondering if the decompression lever might be too tight, but I'll look at it some more today.

Not sure where it was said that the 350X was done:wondering, because it's not, and they never are! That's two different photos of the same Z:crazy:

I'll look into making more when I finger out just exactly how I want this one completed. I'm not sure on how I want the lenses mounted, or the bottom support to keep it from floppin' around. It is pretty SICK though if you see it in person! I can get a KILLER shine out of the aluminum that really stands out.

I'll keep people informed when I am ready to sell some. Any idea what something like that is worth?:naughty: :naughty:

I've been wondering about that since the first time I seen your work a few months ago. It's hard to put a price on a custom part like that. I say build one 100% and take best offers or throw that sucker on ebay. that should give you a decent idea of what guys are willing to pay.

Karma i wouldnt put it on sleazebay at first. I would offer them to the die hard guru's here for a good price. Then when everyone is taken care of at the site we all love. Then hell put one on ebay and see what she can do. IMO

Only problem is I don't know what a "good price" is for something like this. You don't want to pay me for my time spent thus far, that's for sure! If, and when, I get it all ironed out, I would make a batch to cut down on the cost.
