Almost all original 85 tecate

Have a chance to buy this tecate , its all original except the rear fender was replaced years ago and the pics don't show it but the tank decals have started to peel. The guy said it only had a couple tanks run through it but i don't think it has run that much. There is no armor all on this bike and the pics don't do this trike any justice. Alls it would need is a new decal kit and it would look darn near showroom and I' m picky when it comes to clean original trikes. He's asking a good price but I want your opinion on what this is worth??? thanks for any input

I don't see alot of these for sale around here and haven't noticed what a nice one goes for on Ebay , but does $1500- 2000 be the ball park fair price for this trike??

its an 84 not an 85...drum brakes up front. sweet looking t3, i love them red ones. need to get myself an extra set of red plastics so i can swap em around when i want to.

your right it is an 84 not 85, i was wrong on the listing. The sad thing is this gut that owns it now just bought it last month from the original owner for $ 950, I called on it after seeing it was listed as "mint" but you know how most of those mint ones turn out, well I was a couple days late anyways. Could of got alot better deal.

The original owner bought two of these brand new , one for him and his 15 yr old son, which was shortly diagnosed with cancer and passed away shortly after getting these trikes. The farther sold the other one many years ago but hung on to this one in memory of his son, so I was told.

At any of the prices above, it is worth it. If you had the coin to buy it up and store it, it could double your money in time. These deals are still around but getting fewer and far between as time goes buy.

He came over tonight to look a my antique sleds and was interested and said he would think it over on a price and let me know tomorrow night, so I told him that I would buy the Tecate anyways even if he decides not to take the sleds in on trade. So he agreed on that. I've got to borrow a better camera and take some more pics this week.
