OK So I have been pondering extending the back wheel axle out a few inches to gain better stability and I kinda like to look of the wheels out wider on the back  Anyway I photochopped the back wheels out a few inches like 4 or 5 inches (roughy) Opinions on the look? Opinions on stability?

Stock Wheel Base:

Extended Wheel Base (roughly 4 or 5 inches):

On my R I have my rear axle extended 3" on each side. It makes a big difference. It looks cool, plus it adds a lot of sidehill stability. The downside is it makes your axle more suseptable to bending, so I would be cautious about hitting any major jumps. Also it makes it a harder to steer because you are so wide with a live axle, and it tends to fling mud and water all over since your tires arent under your fenders anymore. Overall, I like spacers. It is worth the extra stability.

I don't think you'll be able to find an extended axle for that model of trike though.

you could have somone weld a new clamp off some other atv or trike, gain a disk brake in the rear and benifit from 46" wide stock sport trikes like today. if this is on a hair tail trike it could be a little harder...i wouldnt think you wanna go to wide since there is nothing to soak up the shock. the best and cheapest think is get a set of spacers or have some made at a machine shop.

that axle should have the same spline pattern as the 200x and such 24 spline, if that my be the case , you can put on 400ex 300ex 450R 0r 250ex hubs and that will give you an extra 1 on both sides, then you will also have the more common 4x110 bolt pattern so you can also run a common spacer, you will just have to get another set of rear wheels but with that pattern thats cake.!

If the 400ex hubs swapped... You could buy extended 400ex hubs...

Yes, there are many extension choices on for the 4x110 pattern.

Or if you want extra ground clearance, I would go with these:
