Tecate rear shock rebuild.

Ok, I have done the searching. I want to rebuild the rear shock of my 86 tecate by myself. I have the spring off and sent to the powdercoaters (blue) and the rest looks pretty easy. The problem is the shock o-ring seal is ofcourse discontinued.

Does anyone know where i should go to match up an o-ring/seal like this? Auto Stores suck around here and they never can get anything out of the ordinary for me. Maybe someone knows or has been through this before and send me in the right direction for that o-ring.

Also - Does anyone on here rebuild tecate shocks without core exchange? I really want to keep this one cause it is in good shape for restoration. Let me know, if you do.

Thanks

Is that oring the main seal for the shaft?? Or is it a pressed in seal?? IDK about Kawi but dam Honda uses crazy oring sizes like 4.7mm x 8.8mm. If you can get an idea of the real size (again Honda part numbers give oring sizes) maybe you can match something up or give some suspension people a call.

Do you know what size it is??

I have been getting my parts from Race Tech they have been real good service
You should replace the whole seal head they offer it complete with seal and wiper and O ring complete the seal head acts as your rod bearing and after 20 years they have plenty of wear besides its much easeir replacing the whole thing
