Whats my latest Big REd electrical issue?

My Big Red (200ES) will start somewhat hard but when it starts the lights(head tail and dumby) will kind of pulse or almost blink. I can hold the throttle, At say 1/2 and they will blink. My shop says I have a weaker spark. This is all the info I have. Can anyone help me? Opinions?

Your alternator might be going out, but make sure the voltage regulator is good, and also check your battery, my 83 Big Red had to have a battery in order for the lights to work properly.
