I have just recently rebuilt my trike from the grnd up. It came out great. It runs very good. I took it out today riding for about 3 hrs. Runs and rides great except for one issue. One time it bogged out and died on me. I could not start it for about 2 min. After I got it running again it was fine. I have driven it only on dirt roads before this at my camp. This is the third time it has happened to me. I am puzzled because there are no signs of why this is happening?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. part of the rebuild was buying a brand new factory carb. I have cheked all the lines to make sure nothing is clogged? Currently running a cone air filter and a Cobra exhaust.

That is a great looking little trike. Not sure what your problem is. Sounds like it either is flooding or not getting enough gas. Was your plug wet? Does it run fine otherwise? My atc70 I use to have had a similar problem when I put a K&N on it. It was not getting enough gas.

Real nice looking trike there! Your problem may be a clogged vent in gas cap. After it runs a bit it can create a vacuum in tank so carb can't overcome that to get fuel. You could open the cap a little and then try running on flat ground so you don't get splashed.

My gas cap? Is there any way to test? I rode yesterday for an hour and half before this problem happened. Does it take that long for the vacuum to be created in the tank?

Thanks.

Take the gas cap off and ride around your yard for a bit. make sure its low on gas though too, and see if it happens.

that is about the same as what my 110 did when it was going.. id ride it and beat it.. then all of a sudden it would die right out and wouldnt start untill i messed with the choke and ran it for a lil bit then shut the choke off.. ran fine after that...

i would try the gas cap also, i dont think it would take that long for it to die but that is kind of what it sounds like, also im assuming during the restore you cleaned the tank up nice and put a inline fuel filter on it to make sure nothing would get back into the carb? i would lean toward the gas cap tho..
