Are they ever on ebay, a kit ? I didn't see any when I checked.

If not, do you have a link to a company that has a kit ?

That's cool and HAVE FUN!!!

Take a small screw driver with you, carry it with you that is, for air screw and idle adjustment. Turn the air a 1/4 at a time and find out (you might know) what the stock setting is from being closed.

Usually the air screw is around 1&1/2 to two out from closed .

Sorry bud.. but that thread in the open forum has me fired up a bit.

I've gotten all my bearings from dads.. 200x, 250sx,, tri z,, and lt230. There was a mixup once with the z front axle bearings...but he even refunded my shipping charges. one heck of a nice guy!

No, the 81-84 250r are the same, but the 85-86 are a different bearing and seal.
They are also a lot cheaper than the 85-86.

The Front wheel bearing however, are the same on 81-86 250R.

Thanks for the correction. Do you sell them Mrs. Moshman ?

Do you sell them Mrs. Moshman, just noticed the " Now offering OEM and after market parts."

Yes, I do but I don't want to step on Dads. I sell a lot of parts, I just don't advertise them much, because I know Dads is known for bearings. I'm not out to ruin anybody elses ventures. If you can't get ahold of Dads, get a hold of me and I will help you out.

well then how come I bought 2 sets with the same part numbers and put 1 set in my 85 and 1 set in my 83? both looked the same and were the same size and the bearings had the same numbers.

Check here, see if they are the same, full parts schematics on all ATC's, very easy to use.

(ok I'll not be obscene) welll.... you get the picture!

I don't know what you did? The bearings are the "same size" outside, but the inner diameter is completely different. Heres a pic......
Not to mention, the 85-86 is thicker than the 81-84 bearing.

Everthing as in you have both axles back in place? I of course ask this because of the larger inside diameter of the 84.

Another ? is how in the world did the diameter of the bearing pressure pipe (not sure what correct name is) fit right against the smaller diameter bearing ? You think it would be against the seal instead of the metal of bearing if it was wrong?

Guess it will remain a mystery till you take it a part again. Now that bugs me and their not even my trikes !
