What kind of paint should I use to paint my 1983 atc 70 gas tank.


And I want it stock color? that looks professional

If you want it done right you're gonna need an automotive spray gun and a compressor - otherwise you would be better off either taking it to your local body shop - or contact Sykolincoln here on the boards. If you've never painted before and you want it done right - there is a learning curve. It's all in what you want. You can spray bomb it if you want to - but if you want it to look stock - get a professional - Like SYKO!

I use duplicolor automotive paint. Im not the greatest painter but it comes out pretty nice sometimes. My engine came out great and thats the first engine I ever painted. I used the same thing on my gas tank, duplicolor high heat ceramic paint and clear coat. I let it harden for a few weeks and now its unscratchable with your fingernail. It dosent look anywhere near stock but it looks pretty good to me.
