Well, my brother is a pretty popular guy (or was) on this forum, Patblkwell. He got me into trikes a couple years ago and I bought a 200x. Well, the bike needed more time/money than I had to invest in it at the time so I sold it. Anyways...with the Fall coming up Ive been readin the classifieds lookin for a new bike and I found one.

1984 Honda 250sx
Runs great, the guy said he could go start it right now and ride it if he wanted to.
Plastics are all beat up, needs new fenders both front and back.
Needs Rear tires.

He's asking $450 obo, I think I can talk him down to 400ish. You guys think it would be a good deal or no? Im not lookin to restore or anything like that, I just want something dependable to ride/take me to camping sites.

also there was no 84 250 SX..do u mean 1985 250SX? or 84 200ES?

If it is an SX and EVERYTHING mechanical is good, then I would say thats a great deal. Just as long as the trans, cases, kicker, differential, and major parts are good then your fine. If any of those parts are bad, your lookin at major cash for repairs.

Could be '85, paper says '84. Its ES/Kickstart if that makes a difference.

if its a big red then its still not a 84, has to be 85 or newer, cause they didnt switch to kick start till 85..
its most likely a 85 250sx
if its all good mechanically id say its about worth it, border line tho, i would still try to talk em down a bit or if theres quite a few trikes around your area maybe wait for a better deal, worth checkin it out tho if it isnt far away..
