valve help

How do you chack the valves on a 200x. I don't get it. I took the valve covers off and I don't know where to put the feeler gauge. How do I know when the rocker arms or loose? How do I get it on TDC. HELP Thanks.

remove the little caps on the valve cover (i think they r 18mm nuts)
the springs and rockers should be visible the feeler gauge goes in between them (springs & rockers)
i check mine by ear but i have been doing it a while,(i'm usally within .001-.0015)...USE YOUR GAUGES!!!
