what can I do to them? can they be blasted and run bare? Ive seen them polished before as well how well does the bare aluminum take the elements? what about powdercoating? dosnt seem that it could hurt it, becouse I know many of us have machines that have unkown pasts and have a million and one spray bomb jobs on the rads and they still work well. I wouldnt mind getting them pc'ed with the same stuff that dreadhed is doint to my other parts right now, so let me know guys!

did you blast them yourself?

if you did, what media did you use?

Did you blast the fins also? Did you damage them at all or turn the pressure down a bit?

Those look good, good idea for my 250r.

I have PWR oversized radiators. They are bare aluminum.

I thought about the PWR's but dont need that extra cooling yet, we'll see

The radiator louvres are from a KTM 125/250/450 SX. They're the perfect width, and bit long, but I like the way they guard not only the fins, but also the lower portions of the radiators. Obviously, the radiators & the louvres themselves were modified to mount them.

DePaa, I blasted them myself with sand (can't remember the grain size, whatever I had lying around) at a low pressure. All the paint came off very easily, with no hint of damaging the fine fins. After sandblasting them, I rubbed everything but the fins, with some fine steel wool, to give them a nice sheen.

ChrisD, I love the PWR radiators. That's the look I was going for!

I put alittle paint stripper on one today and the paint flew right off, so I may through them in my big carb cleaning tank to eat all the paint off, I like the clean aluminum look
