See what happens when you don't get to ride much...tinkering sets in.

Looks great ! :beer
Nothing wrong with tinkering, I've been in that mode for a few weeks now, love doing that, when I'm in the tinkering mode that is.
Tinkering at times can be every bit as much fun as riding as long as the tinkering goes according to plan.
I got at least 20 or so more tinker hours to go before I can ride, actually less if I would cut out some of it, but I can't, knowing how much better the trike will look when done.
When are you installing them?
Looks great Todd, really wishin I had a nice shee to part with bout now.
Dammit!

Looks awesome with the red in there. I have a spare clutch/waterpump cover I was thinking about having polished up so I can sell it. Any idea what I could get for one after being polished to a mirror shine?

I find it funny that Honda took the time to put the gear shift pattern on a 250 R!
81-84's don't have that delux feature.

I'll be putting them back on sometime over the next week, Huffa. I've always wanted my entire motor to be silver, so this was just the first step towards that goal.
Mosh, why do you think I'm trying to get it pretty? lol
The project started out as a complete polishing of both covers, but got lessened slightly. The stator cover would have been easy to do, but the clutch cover is wickedly difficult with all the little nooks and crannies on it. I ended up just sandblasting both covers then shooting them with a nice metallic silver. Then I polished the domes on each cover and added the red highlights and water pump cover.
They are far from perfect, but considering the resources I had available, I'm pleased with the results. Start to finish took about 10~12 hours.
Just think...this all started by a nice pretty thumb throttle, donated by Corey Sprock.
I started my black Tri-Z by adding a silver valve stem cap and now look at it.
Once you start, you can't stop!

LMAO...you got that right Rob. I'm already thinking about a couple of other things I should do since I've got all the coolant out of the rads. My nearly free bling mods list just grew a great deal since I got my little home sandblaster working...lol.
