Air Scoop question

Has anyone ever tried installing a different type of air scoop on a 83/84 250R?
I want to improve the air flow to the head/engine since I will be running high comperssion / race gas engine set up...

I was thinking that maybe an aftermarket 200X or 350X ones might work
with a little modification?

they used to have maire super scoops for the air R's and in fact I would love a set for mine, huffa sent some rare air deflectors to aussiduner for reproduction but hasnt heard from him yet I want a set of those as well, I dont want to modifie soemthing to make work I want one of the real parts!
