I just got off the phone with a guy thats got 2 basketcases. He's a landlord and some deadbeat renters left them after they got evicted. All he told me is that its a couple of green three wheelers. and theyre both watercooled. And theyre taken apart.
Having nothing but Hondas and since the parts are pretty easy to get. Hows finding parts the tecates? At least I imagine theyre tecates being watercooled and green. Are these things like the orphan 86 250R roller I got? Where I couldnt find a cheap motor anywhere? any thing too look for to make sure its even worth picking up? thanks jim

cant hurt to go check them out thats for sure. parts are a bit harder tp fomd with alot of things being discountinued, but you can find them if you do your research.

A KX500 motor will fit with some MODS. I even think the big fourstroke 450 would fit relatively easy in these things. Someday I'll find out.

Grab them or at least look at them !!!!1.......sometimes those basket cases are where you find some really rare parts such as westcoast swingers or UFO airboxes etc etc

The parts are worth it to all the 3WW Tecate lovers....

Your not a rider, you like to "flip" trikes for car parts so it may work out well for you.:beer

Parts are not easy found for them like a Honda 200X,250R or 350X but many of the Tecate parts are very rare and desirable. Just like your 87 200X key switch.... by the way, may I have that please:wondering ..........I said please:(

Dammit!

I made over $1200 parting out a 1986 Tecate roller basketcase with no engine a while back. I paid a hundred bucks for it. If the price is right, snatch that stuff up and make yourself an ebay account.

pick em up if its a decent price man, if there not worth fixing to you then you can always part them out and make a decent buck especially if there rare parts..either way you can make some off them theres not a whole lot of tecate parts around so ppl will pay more $ for them then normal

I left a message with him, Im trading some car parts. later next week. hopefully his friend still has them. by the way. I did get a bite on the 2 200Xs. the guys from cali. and his friend is buds with mike edelbrock. Hes going to find out if he can get a "for you my friend" discount! He might have to take a day off and drive here, but hes suppose to be a real ATC nut, owns a blue 70, 250R etc. So it may all work out.!
