I heard you have put a 125cc Lifan engine on an atc 70. I was wondering I have a 1983 or 1984 ATC 70 and I wanted to know how much work it is putting a brand new 125cc Lifan engine on and is there going to be any modifications?

I'm not misterfurious, but the engine should be a direct bolt in, at least mounts wise. The Lifan crankcase is patterned on the Honda 50/70/125, and should drop DIRECTLY into the frame, no mods needed. Maybe some slight engine mount bending or something. I put a 110 into my 70, and I had to modify the engine mounts very slightly.

However the head will rub on the fender. You will need to rake out the front forks (head tube cut, bend, reweld) or take off the front fender.
