ok well ive been starting up my 86 250r once every week since i got it built to keep the cylinder fresh since i still need a chain and brakes blead. well every time ive started it ive noticed it smoking way to much. 31:1 mix. took the silencer off and it still smoked like hell. took the cylinder off and the crank is full of oil, tranny oil. replaced all the seals. brand new motor. i know where its leakin though. through the bushing that goes between the crank shaft and bushing that the seal rides on, on the clutch side. its not leakin on the outside of the bushing where the seal is but between the crank and bushing. to make a little more clear where its at its the shaft of the crank that has the gear that drives the counter balencer. anyone else ever have this problem and know how to fix it?

thanks for any help

I know where you mean, don't have a book in front of me but isn't there an oring in that? It is a bushing that goes behind the primary nut and works as a spacer for the nut to mesh with the basket and as a larger OD for the crank seal ID..

Correct??

correct and all that is installed... that still leaks a tiny biut but i found where most of the oil was coming from i finally tore the whole motor down AGAIN tonight and the crank case gasket was warped and didnt seal so i need a new gasket set but the there was a little bit of leakage out of the crank to so i still need to figure it out. thanks
