Picked up a set from ebay and it looks like they no way are going over the metal pegs..has anyone ever installed these? heat?, soap? these bad boys really need to strech bigtime over the stock peg or am I missing something?

Do you have the round foot pegs or the square footpegs??

The rubber pegs go over a round pipe - if you have square pegs with teeth on them - the rubbers are not made to fit over those. You'd need the pegs that are meant for the rubber feet to go over. 83 ATC200 has rubber pegs - 84 200S has square steel ones.

No, those are the correct ones for a 200. You will need to have the round foot peg though that allows you to slip the rubber over and then put a bolt in the end to hold it on.
I will get a pick when I get off work later tonight for you.

put the part # in at ServiceHonda and the description reads 'RUBBER STEP' now the E.Bay auction description read '83 ACT 200 Rubber Step'...I paid the seller $28 for these and I won't see my ATC's for another two weeks as they're 250mi. from here.

There are no holes in the rubber to bolt through...none...there is a slot in the rubber on the upper outside edge to accomodate where the metal peg turns upward as a stop.

Different peg setup. The older 200's had round pegs like the 110.

You cannot put rubber over the pegs with teeth. You need a foot rest setup that has round pegs with a bolt hole in the end of each peg. These round pegs are specially made for the rubber foot rest.

Here is a pic of one installed. There should be a slot in the end of each rubber piece. Once the rubber is installed on the round footpeg (it just slides on), there should be a little metal peice, kind of like a specially shaped washer that slides up into the slot on the end of the peg. Then a bolt is used to secure the "washer", hence holding the rubber peice to the footpeg.

wonder, looks like the '83 peg fits a '84 but it's discontinued...should be able to find a pair on e.bay though I don't remember seeing them often.
