does anyone know if there is a difference between the 84 model and the 85 model rear caliper on the t3? i have like 6 diferent calipers laying in my brake parts drawer, and 2 of them are smaller then the other 4. all are kawi calipers, all came off t3's, im just wondering why 2 are smaller then the rest. they also have a square hole you can see thru on the top, i would say to check pad thickness i guess. where as the other 4 are solid, no squareish hole. the 4 are identical to the front calipers, but the mounting brackets are different then the front. anyone know if the were different per year.
I know kawi used the same slid demension ao a lot of their calipers. you can slide the tecate mount into the other calipers. I have a box of misc brake parts and put systems together from nothing!
GOOD LUCK

Beats me, my front and rear look essentially interchangeable, never tried though. Sorry I couldn't help. Chris

The 84 rear caliper is smaller then the 85. The 85's mounting bolts are spaced further apart and the caliper is just plain smaller. I have thrown all my 84 calipers in the trash.
The 85 front and rear are the same.
