On my latest project, its a 79 110 atc. I know its suppose to be a 428 chain. The one that came with the trike is too short. I dont know why. but can I go to the bearing, chain shop and just get a number 40 chain for the trike? the local honda shop wants 40+ dollars for a chain, I really want to get this thing running tomorrow, just dont want to pay that much. jim

No, a 40 chain will destroy your sprockets, it completely spaced different, I got 20k on a 420 chain on a 90 before it was ripping teeth off and the 40 is shorter. buy the right chain, if you've never changed a front sproket on a 90 110 you'd be amazed you have to split the cases after taking the high low shifter off the gaskets will cost you 40 bucks when your done ripping up you sprokets and then the price of the new chain and sprokets on top, you want to go there??

I'll get the right chain tonight. I looked at a regular 40 chain, its a lot thinner too. I was just trying to cheap out. Jim
