200x... am I too light?

I weigh 130 pounds and everytime I go into first gear it throws me off. Also I am hearing backfire with no choke and it will also die. But at half choke it runs okay with minimal backfire.

Any help is much appreciated!

I was eleven years old and probably lucky to weigh a hundred pounds when I got my 200x. I had no problem handling it at all even though I probably was a little too small for it at the time. I'd say the problem has nothing to do with your size. You're probably just doing something wrong.

I dunno what then. I can do a LT500 quadzilla just fine and not get thrown back, is there like a guide on how to start to ride a ATC, lol?

Yeah man, get some more seat time. Take it easy at first. It took a long time to work myself up to the sport trikes.

I would LOVE to be 130 again and own a 200x. Just spend a little time learning the machine, make sure its tuned right with some good tires, there is NO better time that could be had.

If its throwing you off from first, you need to practice more. I can sit straight up and take off on my modded Z without problems, you just need to learn the bike. As far as dieing, and backfiring, you need to tune the bike. Once you have it dialed in, you'll have a blast. Do it man, DO IT!!!!1!!!!!11!!!11!!!!

Okay well, not until i jet it right and tune it. The exhaust is getting hotter it seems and im wondering if its too lean? i dunno about maintenance so i will just say... since 1986, I have cleaned the carb and jetted it once...pretty much it, lol

You would laugh at my first Honda Odyssey roll.. I put a 600cc rotax in it, and well... I wheelied all the way over, lol
