I had them laying around, put them on for looks mainly, think it gives a nice finishing touch to the grips and am just wondering if they help vibration at all like they claim ?

I use a pair of Suzuki LTZ400 bar ends. They are about 4 inches long and deff help with vibes. You can also buy some cheap silocone (SP?) and fill your bars with it, Works good too. You can the Suzuki bar ends on ebay cheap or buy a name brand from Rocky mt for 40. How long are the bar ends you are using? My buddy bought some and they were only about an inch long and did almost no good except for looks.

The 4 inches is inside the bar. Thats how they work any part outside is for show. My bars are about 2 inches wider (1 inch on each side). Sorry I didnt explain better.

This is what I'm getting for my 83 300r mx project, it's called the Boyesen shock-out system and it includes the thumb throttle.

I saw that (not thumb throttle of course) for MX bikes years ago, it's cool that you get different rubber componds so you can adjust the flex of the grip.
Dang, I JUST bought a stock thumb throttle too, you have the main link to that anyway ?

Dont know if it works, but an oldschool racer told me they used to fill their bars with silicone rtv and cut down on vibration.Just throwin that out there.Sounds far fetched to me.

Will be filling my 500's frame with Mono foam as well as the bars to kill some of the vibes.
Think of it this way; Take a wrench and tap a piece of pipe, the pipe will resonate the sound. Fill it with the foam, tap it with a wrench and you get a thud instead.
