Cool, I don't know alot of history on these so I won't try to give you any " facts" on the machine. I"ve heard that " maybe" they were built by Tricky Dick's. But I"m not sure so don't hold me to it. As far as the rarity, it's not a mainstream trike so that in it's self makes it a little more rare. I would say if it looks good and you can get it for a good price, then go for it. I"m sure if you're not happy someone here would take it off your hands.:welcome: :TrikesOwn

Hackjob? How can you say that when you have only seen one picture of it? What the hell?

I was just thinking the same thing BGM. How can anyone have a real opinion about how the bike was made or how it would ride without test riding it/physicially looking over the trike with a magnifying glass.
freakin :postwhore is what it is
I say buy the trike up and see how it rides!

This is the bad boy that would be wicked to find, Was a Maico 490 converted in California and Run in the Indiana Dunes back in the late 80's to stomp on the 500 conversions. The guy who had it built said it could only be run in sand where you could break the tires loose, on dirt it would hook too hard and was almost unridable.
Wherabouts is unknown, he sold it 15 yrs ago after a couple of people got hurt on it.

That's one of a kind man, can you go over and get better pic's, I like it from what I see.
Buy the thing, those engines are like tractors, you don't rev them much at all.
Be very interesting to see close ups of it and your lucky to have it in your area.
COOL, VERY COOL !!!!
If it is a stock carb, it would be a BING, I don't know a great deal abot Maico's but do know that they ran so much better with Mikuni's on.
Forks on Maico's were known to be super plush, so that may?? be a very comfortable trike to ride suspension wise.
