I finnishing two bikes at once this time through..two compete motors all new,, orderd two of everything:eek: gonna kick it up a notch to get these both ready for the ICE this year.

Her bike got new cables and throttle, front brakes, oem guard, oem chain adjusters, rebuilt carb, tail light mounted

mine got pulled out of the ding weeds and needs a cleaning, and the motor will go together now...its been apart since I got back from TF when I threw a rod and broke the clutch baskit..both major dammage..

few picks gettn ready :pics:

Is that a warrior shock on the yellow z? If so, is there enough hose on the rezzie to reach the original holder on the frame? Like the oem shock did? Did the rod trench your case? Thankfully it was fixable.

yes warrior shock with a banshee dog bone to really lower it for the ice, when you sit on it it squats pretty low and is plush..needs a stiffer spring..the fenders are about 6 inches from the tires when you sit on it.

the rezzie is smaller and theres no way to get it through the hole to utlize the mount..I use a few diffrent spots to mount them...a hose clamp or like this useing the stock warrior rezzie holders..to the tank belly pan

Looking good Raffa

With my Z I just cut a slot in the lower frame tab and bent it just enough to get the reservoir line through then bent it back. If I want I can weld it back but there hasn't been a need to yet. On the top where the strap goes I just cut an old inner tube and wrapped it around the canister until the strap was tight.

LOL, we love ya RAFFA!!!! Your even worse than I am. I'm always buying 2 things at once or trying to get the free shipping etc etc. And I'm constantly buying "reserve stock" and thinking of new ways to spend my $$. I honestlt feel depressed when I don't have a package on my stairs or something I want written down on a pad of paper. I think I spent ALL of my extra $$ on ATC stuff last year

Anyhow, it is sure to be another one of your great builds. Glad to see someone else who loves spending money on trikes :beer

I'm so desperate to finish my R's and Z, but money can't come fast enough...
One R needs plastics and a few bolts, the beater R needs an engine, the Z needs a banshee axle, honda hubs, warrior shock and complete front brakes and the 3 of them need pivot bolts :( .

They shall be finished.

Every time I see this kind of stuff it gets me going (yet again). :Bounce :Bounce

Bryan Raffa
05-17-2008, 08:05 PM
got some stuff done today..bleeder snaped off on the caliper.. so I took all the brakes and master's off took them all apart cleaned and put them all back together..drilled out the bleeder and tryed taping it .. well I F... that up So I taped it out to a bigger bolt .. No bleeder in the rear just a bolt... bled all the brakes and they both work great.Ended up useing a diffrent rear master. took off the red one and took off the red motor mounts, witch thos will be silver, along with swapping out the red inline cooler with a silver one.. Painted the rear hubs hot pink,, witch ended up being a dark pink so I painted them white then pink over that and it made them real BRIGHT!
I did the same with the cylinder white, then the hot pink and then a coat of 500 degree clear ceramic header over the top of that..
the lower link was polished before I painted it red .. I will strip that and the upper tripples.. back to polished.
Also thinkin of painting the sprocket hub hot pink also just too even the pink out.

thats what the motor will look like some what, everything is dusty and just sitting together, clutch cover needs to be polished again, 2 bolts need to be heli-coiled in the kick start cover and also needs to be welded , as there a crack starting on the back side.

Yes, Tim she does she says it has more bottom end than the 86... but little does she know it has a 14 tooth on it.. so its pretty snappy...this is a abousoultly STOCK motor, NO port work!,, stock exhaust... witch is pretty friggin nice & quiet! 38Pj carb, boysen reeds, hot rod, wiesco, sprock head w/24cc dome on pump gas..and a sprock basket with a Barnett Kit... the last two nights in a row its started and idled perfict...I should set it up for ice and put it in the basement... BUT ....the first dirt she will see is at penseltucky:naughty: or maybe Ill run it indoor in a "B" class..lol
