Got a few questions. I can do without the thermostat right? Also the pic below where does that line from the fuel pump go? Kinda lost on what thats for
http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb96/Tecate3/zfuel.jpg
I also got some nerfs from a freind the other day. Gona see how they look on here. I think he said there off a honda 250x or something. Gona make mounts to bolt them to the frame along with the pegs, still dont really know about the front.

Hmm, that gasline in the pic goes to the vent on the bottom of the cylinder. The other line on that side hooks up to the T connector and the other on/off switch,, or directly to the carb if your not running the other swith.
You don't need the thermostat but you'll have to get a 3way inline cooler from Ronnie.
Unless your racing MX I dont think you'll need the nerfs. Looks good though!

Keep the green and black. Goes very nice with the rest of the fleet.
If you hadn't of just spent money on those new rims you could have bought 400EX hubs to put on the Tri-Z to widen it out as well as use any Honda rim. Stock aluminum 400EX rims are cheap and easy to come by.
400EX hubs will also fit your 86 T3 meaning you could interchange wheels.
Cheap and easy way to get some nice aluminum rims on your trike. Loads of nice tire options for the 9 inch 400EX rims as well.

400EX hubs gotta be worn out to fit on the end of the Z axle. ;) I recently picked up EX hubs that were "like new" and they wouldn't fit.

So 400ex hubs wont fit perfect but, 300ex will???
are those blaster nerfs...
They may be blaster nerfs, I really dont know 4sure. But he said something about a honda 250
Also thanks chris200x for the info on the fuel line and thermosatat BUT I dont know what I was thinking  ...
Sorry but a yz motor is going in here :naughty: , so is it still the same as far as going without the z thermostat, or using a cooler from yamahondaman? And that fuel line goes to the yz cylinder as well? Im getting a yz bottom end from 370banshee
oh yea found out today that one of the holes for my pegs is stripped :wondering best way to go about this? Get a tap and make new threads...?
but the ( GREEN ) ??? UGH !!! RED AND WHITE !! :naughty:

well i really would like to see those nerfs in a picture once you put them on...i like that there smaller then the banshee nerfs...
Go for 250x hubs.Or like 98 or older 300ex hubs.Last I talked to Ronnie,he was out of the 3 way coolers. He may have more shortly, but for the time being you can go to a hardware store and make a T fitting To use, until he makes more of them.I just made a fitting out of brass pipe fittings.Cost like 6 bucks to make.
Helicoil the footbeg hole.It works fine

head09 I will post some pics up, working on it. Also another quick question from you guys to be on the safe side. A grade 8 bolt is good enough for holding the rear bearing carrier? One thing I hate is breaking bolts riding

Definately strong enough. Worn 400EX hubs will fit as well. What you need is a hub thats sloppy on the Honda axle, it will fit snug on the Z axle.

I like the green keep it!
On the foot peg , drill it out so that there are no threads left and then re-tap it to the size with the proper bolt. This will make a strong tight hold. If you use a heli coil as said before it will come loose when hitting the woops and then you will be peg less until you do what I said above :) if it were me :) I would weld it and then tap it the same size so you wouldnt have to use a different bolt.... but thats me....:)
Lets see some 12" picts :)

I think that the other holes for the pegs have been drilled out an re taped. This hole is smaller than the others, so it should work good if I drill it a lil bigger and get a tap for the other bolt. My uncle had said the same exact thing. Drill it out so there are no threads left, and retap it out with the other bolt, so all will match. I have used heli coils before for spark plugs but not something like this, well see
Should have pics up of that 12" too mnnmaz later today...
I think next time my friend brings over his 400ex ima take the hubs off and see how good or bad they fit the z... Would be nice to change wheels from the t3 to this

why not just run banshee hubs they slide right on... and they work on a tecate axle as well... and stock banshe wheels are 9" just like a honda.

What year t3 will banshee hubs fit?
Heres some pics of a swinger I also got mnnmaz to do for my 85 tecate. Its for whenever I rebuild for drag, or it might go on a kx500 tecate I might trade for. Anyways here are some, got better pics but ran out of time on cell, could post later.

All years Banshee hubs fit.So do Warrior, Raptor, and YFZ 450 hubs,And all those wheels interchange. But blaster hubs have a different bolt pattern and will bolt directly to the tri-z factory wheels.IF you go with Banshee, raptor, YFZ hubs, you have to run their wheels on them, and Honda wheels on Honda hubs.
The advantage to the Honda hubs are, they are offset like almost 3 inches and are a cheap way to widen the trike out some,if you need that extra width.

 Just open up the thermostat housing and take the thermostat out then bolt it back together.
The housing is then just a 3 way ( or T ) fitting.
Works okay like this on my Z.
