Clutch Woes 250es

I am trying to get the manual clutch off my 250es. Thats what it is called in the manual. It is under the right had side crankcase (as you sit on the seat), it is next to the centrifugal clutch.I am having such a hard time jamming the motor so that I can get the nut off. Is there a special way to get this off, tricks or anything? Is it a normal thread, or opposite like the one on the crank? Thanks.

Wedge a penny between some gears in there - then use an impact gun to get it off - either air or electric will work.

Give it a try - seems the only way I have ever had luck without busting stuff up.
